The Kelley School of Business is pleased to be hosting the American Marketing Association’s Inaugural Diversity Leadership Institute (DLI) this June 2022. The four-day event allows participants to interact and network with a group of marketing students from historically disenfranchised and underrepresented communities in the marketing field.
The 20 chosen marketing students will have the unique opportunity to gain knowledge on the history, functions, and contemporary issues of marketing. They will also participate in discussions surrounding issues of equity and social justice, and collaborate with peers to research and present ethical solutions to current leadership issues in marketing. Participants will reflect on the influence of personal identities and histories and their influence on effective marketing leadership. Throughout the event, students will engage in professional networking with marketing faculty and practitioners.
Two of the Kelley School’s Marketing Department professors, Dr. Dionne A. Nickerson and Dr. Erick Mas, are 2022 DLI facilitators. They will be accompanied by Dr. Terry L. Esper of the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and Chief Marketing Officer of LetterShop, Karen McFarland.
